dc.description	The article examines the problems of the principle of the rule of law in modern legal doctrine and the peculiarities of using the principle of the rule of law in the practice of international and national courts. It is emphasized that the study of the genesis of the principle of the rule of law provides grounds to talk about the origin of its ideas in antiquity. In Ukraine, this principle began to take shape at the time of independence, which became an important stage in determining the vector of development of a legal democratic state in Ukraine. It is emphasized that the principle of the rule of law remains a leading issue for research among domestic and foreign scientists. It is emphasized that the rule of law is a dynamic phenomenon; filled with ideas of justice, integrity, reasonableness, everyone’s equality before the law. In the system of general principles of law, the principle of the rule of law has leading, integral, system-forming importance for the development of the legal state and civil society. It was emphasized that the formation of such a model of the state, which would function on the principles of the rule of law, is a complex and long-term phenomenon that requires systematic, consistent, high-quality political-legal, socio-economic, spiritual-cultural modernization. In this context, the principle of the rule of law should, first of all, be considered as a way of interaction between people, civil society and the state. It is emphasized that the analysis of the decisions of the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, the European Court of Human Rights shows that at the current stage, judges actively apply the principle of the rule of law in practice. It is important that increasingly in national practice it is not just a formal reference to the specified principle, but a detailed analysis of the case through its various requirements. Prospective directions for legal theory and practice in ensuring the principle of the rule of law have been identified. Prospective directions for research in ensuring the principle of the rule of law have been revealed.	uk_UA
dc.description.abstract	У статті розглянуто проблематику принципу верховенства права у сучасній правовій доктрині та особливості використання принципу верховенства права у практиці міжнародних та національних судів. Наголошено, що вивчення генезису принципу верховенства права дає підстави говорити про зародження його ідей ще в античність. В Україні цей принцип почав формуватися за часів незалежності, що стало важливим етапом у визначенні напряму розвитку правової демократичної держави в Україні. Акцентовано, що принцип верховенства права залишається провідною проблематикою для дослідження серед вітчизняних та закордонних науковців.	uk_UA
