In today’s world there is a great demand for safety and life in a comfortable environment, so the issue of safety and security in the city and the safe city as it is, is relevant now and will remain so forever. A safe city consists of many parameters, including low crime level and a willingness of the citizens to cooperate with the police. The level of trust in the police and the evaluation of its actions by citizens directly affect the willingness of the population to cooperate with the police and depends on the quality of this cooperation. The results of sociological research throughout the history of Ukraine’s independence show rather moderate and mediocre assessments of the police by public opinion and a low level of trust, which testifies to its stability and moderate level of trust of our citizens in the police. In such circumstances, the national police are looking for effective mechanisms for interaction with the population. The basis for cooperation is the new philosophy of Community Policing, which creates the conditions for the existence of a safe city and is the embodiment of a democratic model of policing. Today, the interaction of the population with the police takes place in the following formats: 1) bringing the police closer to the citizens through new forms of work organization; 2) cooperation with public organizations at the level of joint projects; 3) delegation of part of the responsibilities to private and municipal structures. Such trends in the activities of the Ukrainian police are natural and are embedded in the theory of D. Garland on the development of a completely new sector of crime regulation, which along with police and penitentiaries functions as an apparatus for crime prevention and security. It occupies an intermediate position between the state and civil society, connecting the police with the community. At the same time, the institutional structure is not changing, but there is a transformation at the level of philosophy of existence, functions and public understanding of the actors involved in creating a safe city	uk_UA
dc.description.abstract	Безпекове місто включає багато параметрів, в тому числі низький рівень злочинності та установку на співпрацю містян та поліції. Така взаємодія базується на високих рівні довіри та оцінці поліції громадськістю, наявності у населення готовності до кооперації. Результати соціологічних досліджень протягом всієї історії незалежності України фіксують досить помірні та посередні оцінки поліції громадською думкою та невисокий рівень довіри. Тому зараз взаємодія населення з поліцією відбувається у наступних форматах: 1) наближення поліції до містян через нові форми організації роботи; 2) співпраця з громадськими організаціями на рівні спільних проєктів; 3) делегування частини обов’язків приватним та комунальним структурам. Дані формати вкладаються в нову філософію існування української поліції Community Policing.	uk_UA
