Уніфікація поліційної термінології

Abstract

У статті розкрито зміст становлення поліційної термінології. Зазначено, що генеза поліційних термінів – це тривалий процес, який залежить від численних чинників, зокрема політичних реформ. Визначено, що характерною ознакою української поліційної термінології є наявність значної кількості термінів з інших гуманітарних сфер, зокрема юриспруденції, військової справи, медицини. Наголошено на тому, що уніфікація поліційної термінології – це процес стандартизації та гармонізації понять, що використовуються в поліційній діяльності. Зауважено, що галузева поліційна терміносистема містить вузькоспеціальні службові, юридичні, військові, медичні терміни. Акцентовано увагу на тому, що серед основних завдань уніфікації поліційної термінології є систематизація понять. Переклад та адаптація поліційних термінів є вагомим кроком для забезпечення ефективної комунікації між структурними одиницями поліції різних країн. Нормативно-правові документи регламентують використання поліційних термінів, і це є не менш важливим етапом для уніфікації мови, якою користуються поліціянти та інші служби безпеки. The article reveals the content of the formation of police terminology. It is noted that the genesis of police terms is a long process which depends on numerous factors, including political reforms. It is determined that a characteristic feature of Ukrainian police terminology is the presence of a significant number of terms from other humanitarian fields, in particular, jurisprudence, military affairs, and medicine. It is emphasized that the unification of police terminology is a process of standardization and harmonization of concepts used in police activities. It is noted that the sectoral police terminology system contains highly specialized service, legal, military, and medical terms. The author emphasizes that one of the main tasks of unifying police terminology is to systematize concepts. The translation and adaptation of police terms is an important step to ensure effective communication between police units of different countries. Regulatory documents regulate the use of police terms, and this is an equally important step in unifying the language used by police officers and other security services. Despite the commonality of some concepts, the specificity of police terms is emphasized by their focus on specific service tasks related to combating crime and maintaining public order in crisis situations. Police terminology also takes into account the needs of communication with other services, such as rescue or military, especially in a state of emergency or martial law, which is currently relevant for Ukraine. This ensures coherence and speed of response in an emergency. The terms used in the police sphere have their own clearly defined function, as they reflect the specifics of the tasks caused by both security needs and the situation in the country, which requires the mobilization of various operational services.
